Purpose of Role

Rehrig Pacific Company-s Engineering Technicians are an integral part of our operations and are responsible for executing technical work to support goals related to safety, process improvement, and automation. They are expected to work collaboratively with other plant resources, and to create safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes. This role is focused on hands-on problem solving and working integrally with the daily functions of the manufacturing plant.

Areas of Accountability

Support and perform robotics, automation, and technological deployments

- Performs efficient changeover and programming of automation during product changes.

- Implements collaborative robots and other automation to reduce operational labor dependencies and reduce

operational risks.

- Completes troubleshooting of robotic, automation, and technological problems during normal production.

- Supports implementation of new technologies.

- Designs, improves, and maintains local fleet of robotic EOAT utilizing new technologies to increase reliability

and efficiencies.

- Uses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and other skills to design and build new automation work cells.

- Supports new product development as it enters the manufacturing plant

- Involvement in commissioning of new injection molding machines

- Able to start/stop and troubleshoot injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

Improve plant safety

- Advance plant safety through assigned safety projects and work collaboratively with Safety and Plant

Management.

- Maintains an advanced understanding of safety policies and expectations and demonstrates this in daily

work.

- Drive safety engagement within the plant and actively participate in safety events and safety

committee meetings.

Progress local automation and technology

- Execute initiatives to reduce deployment times for collaborative robots, automation, and

IMM robotic changeovers.

- Develop and perform initiatives to reduce machine cycle time tied to robotics and automation.

- Implements improvements to existing automation, auxiliary equipment, and other technologies through

mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming skills.

- Maintains updated understanding of latest plastics and robotic technologies.

Situational adaptability

- Adapts and embraces rapidly changing circumstances and adjusted priorities.

- Makes clear and concise decisions and maintains a sense of urgency

Works collaboratively with cross functional local and national teams

- Completes objectives identified with Engineering Manager and local Plant Engineers/Technicians to optimize work and

Summary This position is part of the WAPA-DSW-Desert Southwest. As an Engineering Technician, you will perform a variety of duties related to the functional responsibilities in supporting activities in computer aided engineering/computer aided drafting (CAE/CAD), design automation, and software support. This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Phoenix, AZ duty location. Responsibilities As an Engineering Technician you will: Prepare preliminary and final civil/electrical design drawings for substations. This includes scaled layout drawings showing bus and equipment configurations and foundations, plan and elevation views as well as wiring diagrams using AutoCAD software. Prepare material quantity estimates for substations. Calculate cut and fill quantities, foundation design, providing material quantities for both concrete and steel for construction specifications, and determining steel structures for substations using Civil 3D and other applicable software. Provide technical advice and consultation in the application of CAE/CAD system to engineering design functions. Work closely with individual engineers and technicians in order to take full advantage of the opportunities available with the CAE system for their applications. Serve as the authoritative source of technical information on CAE/CAD operational and maintenance procedures for your region. **Job Description**

AECOM is hiring a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Senior Wastewater Commissioning Manager for our East County Advanced Water Purification Project in San Diego, CA. **This is the largest project of its kind and a unique opportunity to lead innovation within the wastewater industry.**

In this role you will be responsible for the effective management of our commissioning program interacting closely with the Construction delivery team. You will provide leadership and direction to a staff of commissioning team technicians; and be responsible for providing the necessary guidance required for critical program coordination with Construction staff, equipment vendors, Project Engineers, Quality Control Inspection and the Owners operations & maintenance staff.

**The project is currently under construction and the candidate will be required to participate 100% on site in San Diego County, California. Relocation assistance is available.**

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

+ Provide leadership of the Commissioning Team in the development and implementation of the handover and commissioning strategy. Lead a team of C&SU engineers and technicians

+ Review of contract documents, participate in the development of functional and acceptance test plans and execute tests for a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and instrument controls systems

+ Conduct Contractor and Owner C&SU coordination meetings in advance and during commissioning and integration. Prepared agenda documents and post minutes

+ Develop and or review startup plans, schedules and startup packages and track progress through completion

+ Lead the development of a detailed startup schedule based on the established system commissioning dates per the project milestones. Proactively plan and coordinate sequence of system startup priorities to complete the C&SU

+ Coordinate with vendors and integrators processor programming, installation, testing and Pre-Commissioning functional testing for the process mech/elect and I&C systems

+ Review and participate in the development of pre-functional checklists

+ Coordinate functional test procedures and execute operational testing

+ Witness selected re-testing of systems that do not pass initial functional testing

+ Review content of equipment O & M Manuals for coordination and inclusion of testing activities

+ Coordinate, obtain and review vendor and contractor training documents

+ Coordinate and oversee training of the Owner’s operating personnel related to commissioned systems

+ Monitor and provide constructive feedback on daily activities affecting and involving C&SU

+ Maintain positive open communications and relationships with the project partners on startup issues

+ Conduct system walk downs and generate punch lists

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant construction experience in water/wastewater; Oil & Gas; Power Generation; or Industrial industries; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Valid Driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

+ This position requires candidate to be on site in San Diego County (Santee), CA. No remote or hybrid considerations

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 20+ years of construction background experience in water / wastewater, Oil & Gas, Power Generation or Industrial industries

+ Proven demonstration of commissioning and start-up experience

+ Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and to embrace change
