**The Position**

The Principal UX/CX Research Consultant, reporting to the Director of UX/CX Research, will be responsible for all aspects of UX Research for the Nursing and Medical Segments of the Health Learning and Practice business unit.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

**Lead User Research:**

Collaborating with Leaders in Product Management, UX Design, and Engineering, define the long-term vision

and strategy for user experience research for the segment, aligning it with business objectives and goals.

+ Monitor quantitative data to understand user engagement with a variety of content types

+ Act as a change leader to help teams increase level of UX maturity and engage in product innovation

+ Provide close partnership for senior business stakeholders and development heads to deliver world-class experiences through data driven decision making

+ Partner with Product Managers to understand business goals and objectives both at the portfolio and product level.

+ Lead the planning and execution of user research initiatives, employing a variety of generative and evaluative research methods.

+ Partner with embedded UX design leads/teams to evaluate prototypes and solutions with customers

+ Ensure Product teams gain a deep understanding of user needs, behaviors, and motivations.

+ Ensure that the product teams are using research findings, data and insights to inform design decisions and validate design solutions.

+ Drive the culture of feedback and metrics to drive continuous improvement in the user experience.

**Stakeholder management:**

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and a shared understanding of user experience goals.

+ Partner with Divisional Directors to drive Research and product strategy from a user driven perspective

+ Regular, transparent communication of status and metrics to management and stakeholders

+ Advocate for, and actively implement, standard processes to ensure quality and consistency of work, and a joined-up approach for all teams in the business group/division.

+ Involve all members of cross-functional teams in research and analysis

**Assessing Inclusive Design**

Implement and advocacy for WCAG accessibility standards. Ensure the Usability testing and evaluation:

The **Automation Infrastructure Services** team is responsible for assisting in the building of automation strategies within UMB. This would include collaborating with different teams within UMB to design automation using various tools such as PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, Ansible, etc.

+ Define and execute core infrastructure services and common design patterns for computing, storage, networking, operational, and security domains. This will include developing and maintaining automation frameworks for platform provisioning consumed by application product teams.

+ Advise application product teams on incorporating infrastructure capabilities.

+ Actively collaborate with site reliability engineers to develop patterns, templates, and standards for pipeline automation.

+ Identify emerging infrastructure services to meet business resiliency requirements.

+ Actively develop and support self-service catalogs for infrastructure provisioning and make them available to application teams. This includes ensuring infrastructure provisioning automation meets IT general controls and that solutions are deployed in safe, secure, resilient and compliant manner.

+ Provide thought leadership and creating solutions built with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Shell Scripting components.

The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test with all Raytheon products.
