**Position-Related Responsibilities**

+ Designs, develops, troubleshoots, supports, and configures information systems to support business processes across multiple departments and business units.

+ Develops designs, program specifications, data access, output reports, and input specifications. Assures that the design, programming, testing and documentation for assigned systems are correct, complete and up-to-date.

+ Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and maintains software interfaces to enterprise systems using approved SOA middle-tier tools as defined in the IT corporate standards.

+ Reviews work requests from clients and develops estimates for work to be performed based on industry standard estimation methodology.

+ Gathers business requirements and recommends solutions to clients for the improvement of existing or proposed systems to enhance the functionality being delivered.

+ Works with off shore partners under a global delivery model as required.

+ Collaborates with IS infrastructure, network and security teams to develop technical requirements necessary to implement a successful project with minimal risk.

+ Educates clients in understanding the operations and capabilities of their information systems.

_Programmer Analyst III:_

+ Designs and writes complex functional specifications and programs.

+ Utilizes project management techniques to develop project plans and track progress to optimize project resources. Coordinates project priorities with team members, team leaders and other IS Department groups.

+ Support clients of operational applications by providing data for specific requests, resolving issues with system functionality and performance.

We are hiring a Senior Telecom Network Engineer for the Missile Defense Agency’s Mission Voice Communications to support the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) on Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado. FTI provides range support services for ballistic and hypersonic test missions at DoD, NASA, and other agency ranges around the world. We cover mission planning, networks and systems engineering, telemetry, data and voice communications, logistics, and cybersecurity aspects of missile testing.

Responsibilities

This position will require that you support configuration, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and update voice and data communications systems to meet mission requirements. You must be available to travel up to 20% and maintain a valid US Passport, as well as possess a current DoD SECRET level security clearance. The position involves periodic paid STOT, up to 20%.

This position requires travel to land and sea-based locations including Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) on Kauai HI, Reagan Test Site (RTS) on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, Wake Island, and MDA’s test support vessels the Pacific Collector and Pacific Tracker. Trip durations are dependent on customer test mission schedules which can change with short notice, normally lasting between 1 and 3 weeks. Total trips are dependent on MDA's T&E schedule averaging between 2 and 6, annually.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform maintenance and upgrade of voice networks (T1, VOIP, SIP trunking, POTS) to include servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.

+ Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity to ensure high quality voice and data transmission.

+ Provide technical support, as well as design support of technical solutions, project planning, and network project implementations to other departments with regards to mission voice services.

+ Serve as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers.

+ Systems Administration running Windows and Linux operating systems.

+ Accomplish pre-mission communication checks and voice instrument configuration verification.

Education/Qualifications

Required:

**Description**

Under minimal supervision, provide support for Internet of Things (IoT) applications and telemetry systems. Provide leadership on technology-related projects and guidance on the applicability of available solutions. Lead and mentor corporate and site based IoT personnel and provide direction. Lead IoT-related communities of practice related to assigned applications and business processes.

+ Provide direction and mentoring to other support staff and perform supervisory and administrative duties.

+ Manage the organization of IoT application servers, cloud resources, and physical IoT devices/infrastructure. Coordinate installations, upgrades, and enhancements.

+ Work with operational improvement personnel to identify areas for improvement and develop process improvement strategies and solutions.
