**Purpose**

As the Director of Operations at Liberty Utilities, you'll report directly to the Area President, positioning yourself at the forefront of our dynamic team. It's more than just a job; it's an opportunity to lead, innovate, and contribute significantly to the achievement of broader objectives for both the region and Liberty Utilities. Your responsibilities include implementing the company's business development and growth strategy, directing numerous ad hoc projects throughout the year, and deploying resources to adapt to changing priorities and focus. Beyond that, you'll play a vital role in setting the tone, climate, and vision for utility operations within the division. **Accountabilities**

+ Direct the operations and business outcomes of drinking water, wastewater, and reclaimed water, contributing to the overall growth strategy of Liberty Utilities

+ Participate in the planning and development of water and wastewater rates, representing the company in front of regulatory bodies and contributing to regulatory strategy

+ Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing water and wastewater utilities, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility

+ Coordinate short, medium, and long-term plans for water supply, demand, facility construction, wastewater conveyance, treatment, and disposal

+ Oversee operating and capital budgets, analyze financial data, and make informed decisions to support the financial health of the utility

+ Lead and develop operations teams, emphasizing succession planning, talent development, and a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion

+ Act as a change leader, role modeling new ways of working and driving continuous improvement within the department

+ Provide industry leadership within the utility for water operations, ensuring the enforcement of Liberty policy for field staff

+ Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

+ Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

**Education and Experience**

+ Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field

+ 10+ years' experience in progressive leadership roles, within the Water utility industry

+ Strong knowledge of water/wastewater utilities, engineering, and financial principles required

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and technology applications

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Flexibility to travel within the US and Canada

+ Valid driver's license and passport required
