Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity in the non-profit industry based in Mesa, Arizona. The role is for a Staff Accountant who will be integral in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger

• Utilize Blackbaud software for financial management and reporting

• Oversee cash applications to ensure accurate financial recording

• Proficiently use MS Excel for data analysis and presentation

• Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining the organization's ledger

• Prepare and present financial reports for management decisions

• Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives

• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

• Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.

• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in General Ledger operations is essential

• Experience with Blackbaud software is required

• Knowledge and experience in Cash Applications is a necessity

• Advanced skills in MS Excel are crucial

• Candidate must have a solid background in Account Reconciliation

• Previous experience in a non-profit organization is desirable

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required

• The applicant should have a strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus

• Familiarity with non-profit financial regulations is beneficial.
