Northrop Grumman’s Law Department is seeking an experienced, highly motivated attorney to serve as Corporate Counsel for its litigation group at the Company’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The Corporate Counsel will manage and drive strategy on a wide variety of commercial disputes and litigation matters, including relating to contract, environmental, tort, intellectual property, ERISA, employment, and other claims. The Corporate Counsel may also work as needed on investigations or government disputes.
Specific responsibilities include:
+ Developing and implementing legal strategies to manage potential disputes and matters in litigation
+ Working with and managing external lawyers and services providers
+ Collaborating across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the Company
+ Briefing senior management on disputes or matters involving significant legal exposure or risk to the Company
+ Developing and managing legal budgets

**Job Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Juris Doctor degree
+ Ability to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counsel
+ At least eight years of litigation experience, with more experience preferred
+ Experience litigating complex commercial matters
+ Proven expertise as a litigation strategist
+ US citizenship. Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. DoD security clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Trial and appellate experience
+ Experience supporting clients in the defense community
**Salary Range:** $221,600 - $318,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
