Position Summary

The Vice President of Accounting provides organized and detail oriented professional services for full cycle accounting support within the accounting and finance divisions. Assist in the supervision, management and coordination of accounting personnel in their charge. Direct and coordinate company finance department. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for all financial transactions and reporting for their assigned company(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gathers information from clients and partners as needed.
Crafts targeted strategies designed to meet specific client needs.
Makes recommendations based on internal and external factors.
Designs and implements action plans.
Keeps in contact with the teams for vendor management.
Provide Reporting for bills paid/due.
Consolidate the accounting for parent company and individual divisions
Participate in mergers and acquisitions with a focus on assimilating the accounts payable functions.
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements

Must be able to lead a team
Maintain strong working relationship across all internal teams
Maintain current systems and controls
Work to develop new reporting or metrics where needed
Good communication skills across all facets of business.
Takes personal responsibility for actions and leads by example.
Must be able to coach, develop and mentor team member

Education & Experience

4-year college education; MBA plus
Minimum ten years managing a team of at least 7 individuals
16-18 or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred
