**_What you get to do:_**

+ _Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products._

+ _Review raw materials, chemicals, and/or finished product data to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations._

+ _Collaborate with global supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met and quality standards are in place._

+ _Recommend non-conformance corrective action where necessary._

+ _Participate in corrective action or improvement teams and promote the use of data to assist in improvement efforts_

+ _Facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) process – including leading and participating in data gathering, analysis, and presentation activities._

+ _Utilize excellent written and interpersonal communication skills_

+ _Coordinate the control, segregation, containment, and disposition of non-conforming supplier-provided material._

+ _Perform as a cross-functional liaison between Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Operations for supplier-provided material quality issues identified across the factory._

+ _Apply technical knowledge in industry standard quality engineering methods, interpretation of drawing requirements and applicable specifications & standards, and mechanical measurement & analysis._

+ _Coordinate efforts to resolve complex quality problems using sound problem-solving methodology, including through application of established root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action methods._

+ _Establish a trends analysis process and maintain performance charts._

+ _Support the implementation methods, procedures, and plans for evaluating conformance of product characteristics._

+ _Support the creation, implementation, and change of Quality Plans for supplier-provided materials, based on customer and internal specification requirements_

+ _Support the development and maintenance of standards for quality, including operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures_

+ _Support the preparation of first article inspection packages for internal approval or presentation to the final customer. Recommend test methods, statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product Quality, and propose changes to improve system and/or process capability_

**_Basic Qualifications_** **_:_**

+ _Master’s degree in STEM field with 0 years of relevant experience or_

+ _Bachelor’s degree in STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience or_

+ _Associate’s degree in a STEM field with 4 years of relevant experience_

+ _Experience interpreting Engineering Drawings_

+ _Experience documenting and controlling nonconforming product._

+ _Experience using product measurement and verification instruments (i.e., calipers, etc.)_

+ _Experience in a manufacturing environment certified to AS9100 or ISO 9001_

+ _Experience using Microsoft Office applications_

+ _Experience in data analysis using advanced Excel functions or similar._

+ _U.S. Citizen_

**_Preferred Qualifications:_**

+ _Experience with Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) Standards and Publications (e.g., IPC 610, J-STD 001, etc.)_

+ _ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)_

+ _Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt_

+ _Experience in RCCA; Continuous Improvement; and Process Engineering_

+ _Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) standards._

+ _SAP Experience_

+ _Defense industry experience, including interface with government customers._

_MANQMA_

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
